Hiking and Exploring:Hike on a mile of trails up on Sandy Ridge in Buffalo Springs Park East and West. Great
views of the camp from the boulder filled hillside. Creeks, swamp, boulders, mosses, lichens, and forest. Bring your registered horse and enjoy.
Tubing / Canoeing / Kayaking: Bring your own and use them on our Lake. Take a short drive down the Cold Stream Road towards
Capon Bridge and do the same on the Cacapon River. Put in points at Green truss bridge in town and at Curtis Sine's closer to camp --
either $5 day use fee.
Fishing: Catch and Release. From wide mouthed bass, to massive carp to giant catfish -- try your luck, but leave them here. Please don't fish beyond
the rope line where children swim walk along the lake bottome (hook dangers).
Horse Riding:Register your horse with Camp Management (special liability waiver, proof of negative coggins and understanding of
some basic rules) and enjoy camping and riding your horse along the trails of Buffalo Springs Park and the main camp road.
Saturday Evening Beach front Bon-Fires: Every Saturday evening (weather permitting) a Community Bon-Fire
open to all, occurs at the beach. Bring your own food, drinks and trash bags. Skewers provided for your hot-dogs and marshmallows.
7:00pm - 11:00pm and after -- congregate with fellow campers and amateur musicians
at the Bon-Fire Circle at the beach. Evening volleyball a possibility.
Beach Volleyball: White sand beach and a volleyball net and ball always ready for the willing.

Organized Group Hikes and Picnics: Organized group hikes and picnics can be arranged for a willing crowd.
Basketball: Balls provided, 8 nets, 2 full court, 10,000 square feet of hard wood floor. Swisher Hall Gymnasium.
Massage Therapy Sessions: Massage Therapy, by a certified, licensed, and insured massage therapist (in VA and WV) may be available

ATV's & Mountain Biking nearby: While we don't permit ATV riding on-site, the adjoining camp roads are unmarked
and paved and are suitable for ATV riding down to the Cacapon River and elsewher nearby. Take your ATV west for several miles to the
1750's ghost town of North River Mills -- hike up to Ice Mountain or play or fish in the North River just past the town.
Swimming / Wading / Tubing / Snorkeling: Buffalo Gap Camp offers all of the
above with a dock in the middle of the lake, sandy bottom in many places and tall lake grasses and big fish to explore.
Workshops: in Survival Skills, Yoga, Meditation, Massage, African Drumming, African Dance, Horseback Riding, and many other topics may be offered on any given weekend.
